our made to measure process
1. CONSULTATION
After you set your appointment we will meet you at our shop & invite you to relax in our custom lounge. Enjoy an offering from the bar or an espresso & it is here that you will select from 1000s of fabrics from the world's top mills. Once you have selected your cloth we will take a series of measurements, photographs & discuss your specific requirements. We will then discuss the stylistic details of your MTM garments with you: lapels, pocket styles, vents, button closures, trouser styles & beyond. The garment is then cut & crafted in Italy over a period of typically 6-8 weeks.
2. CUSTOM FITTING
You will then come back into the shop to try on your MTM garments. At this point the garments are approximately 90% ready to wear. The sleeves & trousers are both left unfinished. We will utilize this fitting to decide the lengths of each as well as fine tuning the fit of your garments. All of the final adjustments & finishing are done on site with our in house tailoring team.
4. DELIVERY
Roughly 1 - 2 weeks are needed for final adjustments & finishing. After this stage your garments are ready to take home. Your pattern is kept on file for all future needs (as long as your sizing doesn't change too much... If it does, no need to worry, we will just require another initial consult with you). All of our MTM garments are made in Italy (excluding options mentioned below) in our shops & all are fully canvased jackets. The garments incorporate both hand (in important areas such as collars & armholes) & machine tailoring. This combination allows us to streamline the process for both labor costs & time.
